Browse 339 active 3PL Providers profiles across the United States. Use documented locations, service capabilities, transport modes, and regulatory identifiers to build a shortlist.

How to compare 3PL Providers

Open each provider profile and confirm the fields that matter for your shipment:

  • Operating location and documented service areas
  • Transport modes, cargo types, equipment, and specialties
  • USDOT, MC, SCAC, FMC, or other identifiers when supplied
  • Record freshness and direct provider contact information

Verify before selection

Directory status is not a substitute for a current authority, insurance, safety, availability, or pricing check. Use the linked official regulator resources and confirm shipment-specific requirements directly with the provider.

  • Port Houston, San Pedro Bay, Newark–Elizabeth, and Savannah ocean gateways
  • DFW, O’Hare, Newark Liberty, and Hartsfield-Jackson air cargo
  • I-10, I-35, I-80, I-95, and I-75 long-haul corridors
  • Houston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Chicago, Newark, Atlanta, and Los Angeles warehouse belts

Local selection rules

A national 3PL search is a node search. Compare the building and the outbound corridors before the brand. Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, and Georgia are different networks.

  1. Name the node first: port-side, inland-port, air-cargo, or consumer-fulfillment ring.
  2. Do not treat a Dallas building as a Houston or Newark substitute unless the profile documents that coverage.
  3. Ask which SKUs, temperature bands, and value-added work the site actually runs today.
  4. Require the same inventory, cutoff, and returns assumptions from every shortlisted site.
  5. Check whether transportation is in-house, brokered, or handed to a named carrier.
  6. Verify record freshness and business-identity evidence before a site visit.

When to use a 3PL, a broker, or a carrier in the US

A 3PL is the node. A broker is the capacity desk. A carrier is the asset. National brand names do not make those jobs interchangeable.

Questions this page can answer

How should I compare 3PL providers in the United States?

Start with the node: Houston port-side, DFW inland-port, Chicago rail, Newark–Elizabeth, or Atlanta interstate. Then compare documented services, handling fit, outbound lanes, cutoffs, and record freshness.

Is a national 3PL brand interchangeable across metros?

No. The same brand name can be the wrong building if it sits on the wrong corridor. Open the state or city 3PL page for the market you actually need.

When should a shipper use a 3PL instead of a freight broker?

Use a 3PL when product has to sit, get picked, or get staged. Use a broker when the product is already ready to roll and you only need a truck.

What identifiers matter on a US 3PL profile?

3PL records are complete when they have a current description, documented capabilities, and business-identity evidence such as a website and address. If the same company also brokers or hauls, confirm the MC or USDOT on that service.
